Playing Costs
Atherstone Adders Hockey Club provides fantastic value for money when it comes to playing hockey. We regularly review our costs against other local hockey clubs and aim to keep our fees competitive while continuing to provide high-quality coaching, facilities and playing opportunities for all our members.
Players in our senior teams are required to pay an Annual Membership Subscription. This subscription includes:

• Atherstone Adders Hockey Club membership
• England Hockey affiliation
• England Hockey insurance
• Annual membership of Atherstone Sports Club

Membership of Atherstone Sports Club enables our members to enjoy the social facilities at the club following home matches and throughout the season.

Senior players are also required to pay a Weekly Match Fee when selected to play. The match fee contributes towards the costs of running our teams and also covers the cost of mid-week training, meaning there is no additional charge for senior training.

Players are encouraged to purchase and wear official club kit. However, the Club can provide a team playing shirt for matches where required. Any Club-owned playing shirt must be returned to the Club after each game. Team skorts or shorts can also be provided where required.

Ladies
Tuesday evenings – 7.00pm to 8.30pm
The Queen Elizabeth Academy, Witherley Road, Atherstone.
Juniors & Badgers
Wednesday evenings at The Queen Elizabeth Academy:

• Juniors: 5.30pm – 6.30pm
• Badgers: 6.15pm – 7.30pm

Men
Wednesday evenings – 7.30pm to 9.30pm
The Queen Elizabeth Academy, Witherley Road, Atherstone.

A Senior Coach oversees our coaching programme, supported by a team of qualified coaches, junior coaches and volunteers. Appropriate safeguarding checks, including DBS checks where required, are undertaken for our coaches and helpers.

Seniors 1 – Employed

• Annual Subscription: £100.00
• Match Fee: £12.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Seniors 2 – Concessionary

• Annual Subscription: £75.00
• Match Fee: £10.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Students 1 – Further Education (19 years+)

• Annual Subscription: £75.00
• Match Fee: £10.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Juniors 1 – Full-Time Education (Age 13–18)
For junior players who regularly play for a Senior team on Saturdays:

• Annual Subscription: £75.00
• Match Fee: £10.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Badgers – Full-Time Education (Age 11–16)
For players who regularly play for a Badgers team on Saturdays:

• Annual Subscription: £75.00
• Match Fee: £7.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Juniors – Age 5–18
For players who only play Junior matches or attend Junior training:

• Annual Subscription: £75.00
• Match Fee: Free for Warwickshire Mini Hockey matches
• Other Match Fee: £2.00
• Training: Free – included in subscription

Important Information
The Annual Membership Subscription includes Atherstone Adders Hockey Club membership, England Hockey affiliation and insurance, and annual membership of Atherstone Sports Club.
Membership subscriptions will be allocated and welcome pack information issued during September. All annual subscriptions are expected to be paid by 31 October 2026.
Payment plans are available for members who are unable to pay their subscription in full. Anyone wishing to arrange a payment plan should contact the Club Treasurer or Membership Officer as soon as possible.

Match fees should be kept up to date throughout the season. Players who have outstanding fees may be contacted by the Club regarding payment and, where necessary, may be prevented from playing until their account is brought up to date.
All fees are reviewed annually by the Club and may be subject to change where circumstances require.
