Warwickshire Mini Hockey Tournament

The Adders Juniors travelled to Rugby on Sunday for their third mini tournament with one U12 and U10 team and two U8 teams. It was a very early start for all concerned, but it didn’t dampen any one’s enthusiasm. Brother and sister Theo and Grace Wells joined us for their first tournaments and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

U12’s came out top at the Warwickshire Mini Tournament beating Warwick A & B teams and drawing with Rugby. Goals from Will Flavell-Dodson & Elsie Morris, were well deserved from great team play. Rosie Matthews along with Kahlan Kobrin battling in midfield for possession. Milo Deadman and Jamie Roberts executing passes down the wings to Rav Kalsi. Excellent defending by Alice Barrs and Isla Brown shone through each game. Noah Parker stepped in as the goalkeeper, never ever playing in goals before to produce an outstanding performance, saving shoots and producing a powerful kick to the forwards.  All the games saw enthusiasm, commitment and a huge improvement in team play. Listening and putting into practise from training, paid off. 
A big thank-you for all the parental support on the day and coaches Yvonne, Dawn, Alison and Micky. Without them no of this would be achievable.
