The U10s had an awesome tournament and were overall winners. With a last minute cry off Louie Stokes stepped up and played a couple of games for them. With no Goal Keeper William Sharpe, William Sworowski and Markus Els were solid in defence and brothers Alfie and Freddie Wagstaff worked tirelessly in midfield. Camilla Greenall and Frederick Abbey had good attacking games up front. The last league game was against Leicester Westleigh and they went down 0:2, finishing second in the league. There was then a first v second place play off and they had to face Leicester Westleigh again. We were able to use the skills of the Ashby Goal Keeper in the final and at full time the score was 0:0, so three penalty strokes had to be taken. The score was then 1:1 with a goal from Freddie Wagstaff, sudden death saw William Sworowski score and our GK saved the last shot from Leicester Westleigh making us overall winner with a 2:0 victory. Well done to all the team a great solid performance from everyone.
