Members of Atherstone Adders Hockey Club are being invited to put forward nominations for this season’s Sports Awards, as the club looks to recognise outstanding contributions both on and off the pitch.
The annual awards celebrate achievements across all areas of club life — including sporting excellence, social impact and voluntary service — with members encouraged to highlight individuals who have gone above and beyond over the past year or across a sustained period.
Nominations are now officially open and will close at 5pm on 10th April 2026.
Three Award Categories
This year, nominations are being sought across three prestigious categories:
Recognising Excellence and Commitment
Honorary Life Membership is reserved for individuals who have made extraordinary contributions over many years, whether as players, coaches, volunteers or administrators. Typically, nominees will have demonstrated long-standing involvement, such as over a decade of membership or significant service in key roles.
Sporting Colours are awarded to members who have consistently displayed high levels of performance, leadership and dedication, alongside a strong commitment to the club’s values and activities over at least five years.
Half Colours celebrate the achievements of younger players who have stood out through leadership, teamwork, commitment and positive attitude, both in training and competitive matches.
How to Nominate
Fully paid-up club members can submit nominations by email. Each nomination should include:
Entries should be sent to clubcaptain@addershockey.com (mailto:clubcaptain@addershockey.com) before the closing date.
Judging and Presentation
All nominations will be reviewed by a judging panel comprising the Club Chairman, Club Captain and Club Secretary. Decisions will be based on the strength of each submission against the published criteria.
Winners will be announced and honoured at the club’s End of Season Presentation Evening, where recipients will receive formal recognition, including commemorative awards and a place on the club’s honours board.
Club officials are encouraging members to take part and ensure that those who make a difference at Atherstone Adders are properly recognised.
“This is a great opportunity to celebrate the people who make our club special,” a spokesperson said. “We urge all members to submit nominations and help us highlight the incredible contributions within our community.”
