It was a great morning for the Adders as their U8's, U10's and U12's teams all took part in the Warwickshire Mini Tournament, hosted by Cov & N.Warks Hockey Club at Coventry University.
Despite the early start and the cold rain the U8's began the tournament against a strong Sutton side. It was the Adders first ever match and the side all played superbly. The occasion proved a bit overwhelming for a couple of the side, but there were superb performances all round as the side went on to beat Rugby and the hosts, Cov & N.Warks.
The Adders U'10's showed how much they have improved as they competed superbly in their group. The side had a win , a draw and a defeat as they grew in confidence.
Meanwhile the Adders U12's also displayed just how much they have improved. They also played three games and had the luxury of several substitutes while the other teams in their group struggled to field a full team.
Congratulations to all of the teams and many thanks to parents and coaches for their support, most of who had to set an alarm for the early Sunday start. Surely a sacrifice above and beyond the call of duty?
