A much changed Adders side made the long trip to Banbury for an early push back on a chilly but sunny morning. 

The game started at a steady pace with the Adders having most of the play but no goals to show for it. However they seemed to be drawn into the Banbury style and the game lacked any real penetration at either end. Indeed it was 20 minutes before Tom Conlon made a solo run and was able to go round the keeper for a tap in. Half time was Adders 1 Banbury 0.

A quick break by Banbury early in the second half saw the Adders keeper, Carlsberg Wintersgill dive over the ball to level the scores. However Tom Conlon was again able to put the Adders ahead following another defensive error, until the Adders keeper once again, allowed a soft shot to travel under his kicker and the scores were level again.

Despite a re-organised attack there was no winner for the Adders and probably on reflection a draw was a fair result.
