Atherstone Adders Ladies 0 Hampton 14

The Adders faced a tough challenge this week against Hampton Ladies, and with a player short, they knew  it wasn't going to be an easy match. In the end the visitors ran out comfortable winners, but the Adders fought hard for the whole game.

hampton started well and their quick passing and fast shots on goal led to an early lead as the Adders struggled to adapt to the visitors fast pace. Despite some strong defence from Alice Burridge and Sally Oldham, the Adders could not stop the Hampton Ladies from scoring more goals before halftime.

In the second half the Adders Ladies once again came out fighting and displayed a determination and strong fighting spirit which has kept them going throught the season. Unfortunately, despite some  impressive saves from keeper Dawn Wilkinson, the Ladies were no match for the stronger Hampton Ladies, who went on to score with regularity.

However, the Adders should be proud of their performance as the scoreline did not represent the effort and ability shown by the side and they should be encourged by the teamwork that they displayed. They will no doubt come back fighting next week.
